Sarah's passion is to tell stories through her paper illustrations. She has recently won the New Illustrator CBCA award for her debut picture book Grow Big, Little Seed, and the book was Notable for CBCA Picture Book of the Year. Sarah starts her process with digital sketches, and then progresses to full colour digital illustrations when designing the pages of the book. Once approved, she makes each page with layered paper, pencil, and gouache, then carefully lights and photographs each piece before processing the images into print-ready files.

She is also able to capture the creation of selected pages with a short process video, ready to share on social media.
